Who are the Everyday Heroes?
Everyday Heroes are all of us. Walking around in the world, doing the best we can, to do good to others and live our best life.
Some of these Everyday Heroes also happen to be our customers - lucky us. This time, we’re introducing Coen from the Netherlands.
How are you doing these days?
I’m doing really well these days. I’ve been enjoying a calm and colorful autumn after spending part of the summer in Greece. I’ve been back home for a few weeks now, feeling grounded, inspired, and full of energy.
Where are you based?
I live in Utrecht, a beautiful and historic city right in the heart of the Netherlands. It’s full of canals, green parks, and young energy thanks to the university. There’s always something happening, and I truly love living here.
What are you passionate about?
I have a big passion for yoga. I practice several times a week, and it brings me a lot of energy and peace. Yoga helps me stay centered and connected — it’s where I recharge and find balance. It’s a big part of who I am and how I live my life.
How did you discover Revolution?
I discovered Revolution about two years ago in a local store here in Utrecht. They had a few T-shirts on display, and I immediately liked the design and the quality. I bought my first one there, and soon after I found the webshop. Since then, I’ve been ordering quite regularly.
Where do you source your Revolution styles?
Mostly online, but I first came across the brand in a local store called De Smaak. I really enjoy dressing well and wearing clothes that feel good and last long. I like quality, timeless pieces with a bit of character — and that’s exactly what I find in Revolution.
What is the oldest piece of Revolution you own?
That would be a grey T-shirt with a glue gun print on it. It’s actually the only Revolution piece I’ve ever bought in a physical store, and I still wear it to this day.
What other brands, besides Revolution of course, is in your closet?
I used to be a big fan of Scotch & Soda, which is a Dutch brand I wore for many years. Unfortunately, they went bankrupt a while ago. I believe the brand still exists, but the style just doesn’t speak to me anymore. After that, I looked around for something new — and now Revolution has become my go-to brand.
If Revolution were a character in a movie, who would we be and why?
I think Revolution would be Morty from Rick and Morty. Always well-dressed, a bit quirky, true to itself, not afraid to speak its mind — and always ready for a new adventure.
Which item from our archive do you wish we’d bring back?
I haven’t been following the brand for that many years, so I’m not sure which items have come and gone. But I’d love to see more of the knitwear return in different colors. The sweaters tend to sell out quite fast, so it would be great to have a wider range available.
Which Revolution collab would you like to see in the future?
I’d love to see a collaboration that connects with the outdoors — maybe something around hiking, backpacking, or travel. I think that would really match the adventurous and authentic spirit of Revolution.
As a thank you for telling his story, we sent Coen a Revolution outfit. So you can spot him in more Revolution clothes around Utrecht 😎
